Winemaker's Notes: "Home Field is pure, refined and elegant. Hailing from just over two miles from the Pacific Ocean our Home Field bottling has a beautiful deep ruby red center working its way to a brilliant edge in the glass. Initial notes of rose petals and crushed ripe raspberry and wet gravel melded with notes of the cool Pacific air give way to sunbaked damp earth, coastal moss-covered trees and dark cherries. On the palate the wine is fresh, bright and structured with brilliant acidity and fine-grained, youthful tannins. The finish is persistent and fades to notes of raspberry, dried herbs and this coastal site lingering on your pallet. 75% whole cluster fermentation, wild native fermentation, aged 10 months in neutral 60-gallon French oak, bottled without fining or filtration."
