2013 FEL Savoy Vineyard Pinot Noir

2013 FEL Savoy Vineyard Pinot Noir

Wine Enthusiast 93pts: "Classic varietal aromas like forest floor, black cherry and spicy, ripe red-fruit flavors offer welcome into this medium-bodied, firm-textured wine. The structure is so firm with acidity and tannins that it keeps the flavors slightly in reserve, so it will benefit from a few more years in the bottle. It will be best after 2019."

Winemaker's Notes: "Of all the vineyards we work with in Anderson Valley, Savoy is consistently the most savory. The aromatics are an intriguing blend of black tea, cedar, and sage all wrapped around an intense core of black cherry. As the wine develops in the glass, hints of blackberry, plum, and caraway begin to unfold. Savoy Pinot Noir is always a mouth filling wine with great depth and texture, and in 2013 the flavors were exceptionally intense."
