2012 Beaux Freres "Beaux Freres Vineyard" Pinot Noir 3L

2012 Beaux Freres "Beaux Freres Vineyard" Pinot Noir 3L

IWC 94pts: "Bright violet color. Explosive, seductively perfumed aromas of black raspberry, potpourri, smoky Indian spices and cola, with an intense mineral quality adding lift and focus. Sweet, penetrating and deeply concentrated, offering an array of red and dark berry flavors and suggestions of five-spice powder, mocha and candied flowers. Reaches every corner of the palate, showing a suave blend of richness and vivacity, with no rough edges. Finishes spicy, smoky and extremely long, leaving an alluring dark berry liqueur note behind."

Producer Notes:

"Composition: As always this wine is 100% from our estate vineyard. It was originally planted to Pommard & Wadenswil clones on their own roots.

The color is deep, dense ruby/purple. The nose begins with a classic display of forest floor, spice and flowery ripe black raspberries and blue fruits. This wine has a vague resemblance to a Richebourg from Burgundy. Full-bodied, with perfect harmony among all its components - tannin, acidity, alcohol, wood and extract. This compelling wine will age for 15+ years and rank with the 1994 and 2002 vintages."
