Winemaker's Notes: “I have always been a huge fan of Gamay and I was very excited to secure a plot in my favourite village this year. From a 60 year-old parcel of Gamay vines below the village of Fleurie on pink granitic-schist. Fermented as whole clusters in an old concrete tank for 12 days with no punch downs, in order to protect whole berry character, before being pressed with our 90 year-old wooden press. The wine finished fermentation in tank off skins before spending 6 months in old, large format barrels. Bottled unfined and and unfiltered. Our Fleurie is light, floral and delicate, medium weight in the mouth with a long, fresh finish."
