1997 DRC Romanee St Vivant

1997 DRC Romanee St Vivant

Robert Parker 94-96 pts: "Dense ruby colour. A heavenly, perfumed nose of wild strawberries. Perhaps less refined than usual but certainly very intense. The palate is dense with slightly dry tannins, yet the fruits are rounded and inviting. More masculine than usual. Very long length, quite muscular on the finish. A long-term wine, perhaps dare I say more than the 1995 or 1996?"

Wine Spectator 91 pts: "Beautiful ripe fruit and elegant structure in this gorgeous Pinot Noir. Full-bodied, with sweet tannins and refined flavors of wild raspberries, cherries and cassis. Tannins clamp down on the finish."
